Ivory Coast (Cote d’Ivoire) Gendarmerie Nationale

Our next Gendarmerie, the Gendarmerie Nationale du Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) operates  its HF networks in a very similar way to those of its northern neighbor, Mali.

For their HF communications requirements, the Ivorian have standard HF SSB transceivers, but do not have  the CCIR493-compatible FSK Selective Calling (Selcall) system.

So, like their colleagues to the north in Mali, they are using only the ability to communicate with SSB voice.  Another difference is that the Ivorian network is used for transmission of enciphered radiograms.
